Waltham Forest Local Exchange Trading System is a scheme for local people to exchange skills, goods and services using an alternative currency unit, known in Waltham Forest as ‘Beams’.

And this year, we’ve decided to put the emphasis on chilling as a pre-Xmas chill out and to recover from all the amazing things happening in the Stow lately.

There are already some great offers lined up – Rasheeqa will be showcasing the amazing natural cosmetics she makes. There’ll be massage from Rina and Reiki. Tina is showing some beautiful floristry and Zoe will be getting arty and crafty. Sue can give you a glitter tattoo (children and adults alike), Zoe has a selection of handcrafted cards and other items, Doreen will help you make Seasonal bunting, and Simone’s cakes are to die for! We’ve even got Jerry being our very own Dr Bike, so bring your bike along if it needs looking at.

There’ll also be the chance to meet others and find out what they’re trading in our Speed Trading session at 4pm and we’ll find out who holds the title of WFLETS Trader of the Year!

Non-members can come, find out about LETS and enrol on the day. You’ll be able to buy your chill out experiences on the day (with Beams – the WFLETS currency – to take the stresses of life away…
